Summer in Aspen

All things Aspen...where we stayed, what we did and where we ate.

Where we stayed.

The Gant is a perfect place to stay. Located right in the heart of Aspen. It has two pools, hot tubs, tennis/pickleball courts and a free shuttle that will take you anywhere in Aspen as well as pick you up from the airport. We booked our condo through VRBO.

What we did.

  1. Maroon Bells is a must! You can ride e-bikes or take a shuttle and then hike to Crater Lake.

  2. Hunter Creek Trail is a great hike. It takes about 3 hours total.

  3. Take the gondola up Aspen Mountain for a yoga class. You MUST take this yoga class on top of the mountain - the view is incredible! Jason and I did in fact hike up this mountain and it kicked our butt! It literally is straight up and takes about 2.5 hours.

  4. Rodeo in Snowmass. This is so fun! It is every Wednesday night in the summer.

  5. Rent e-bikes and bike to Woody Creek Tavern. This might have been one of our favorite things to do. The trail was beautiful and the food at Woody Creek Tavern was amazing!

  6. John Denver Sanctuary. Everything in Aspen is within walking distance so if you have a little time, I highly recommend walking through this sanctuary and if you have even more time, grab a book. It is so peaceful.

  7. Farmer's Market. Probably the best Farmer's Market I have ever been to! It is incredible. Every Saturday from June - October.

Where we ate.

OMG! I am going to tell you that there is not a bad place to eat in Aspen, because the locals said it wouldn't survive. That is how good the food is! Highly recommend making reservations for dinner!

  1. Paradise Bakery. Every single day, twice a day! Mornings for coffee and pastries and night time for gelato. UNBELIEVABLE!

  2. French Alpine Bistro. Probably my favorite place! It is so darn cute inside! Highly recommend.

  3. Ajax Tavern. This is a must for the truffle fries! We went for lunch and it was the perfect spot overlooking Aspen Mountain.

  4. Catch Steak. Amazing. Enough said :)

  5. Casa Tua. Great place for some pasta.

  6. Jerome Hotel. This is such a cool hotel and a super fun place to grab a drink.

  7. Felix Roasting Co. Located in the Jerome Hotel - cutest place for an amazing latte!

I have fallen in love with Aspen and look forward to visitng again soon!!!!

Thanks for reading :)
